Child Abuse Prevention Day at the Capitol

Feb 23, 2010

At this exiting annual event, constituents let their legislators know how important children are to the future or our state. Oklahoman citizend meet with their legislators over lunch to encourage support for measures to help prevent child abuse and to help children and families. About 300 Oklahoma and 80 legislators met for lunch at the 2009 event and discussed such measures. Providers of related services were on hand to explain their programs. Student choirs delighted all at the event with performances especially prepared for the event.

The 2009 event was a great success. If you would like to help make the 2010 event even bigger and better, consider joining the planning committee. Call Sherie Trice at (405) 271-7611 e-mail:
